Kesher Pittsburgh Rosh Hashanah 5779

  • Winchester Thurston School Corner of Morewood and Bayard Pittsburgh, PA (map)
10 sept Rosh Hashanah.jpg

You are invited to join Kesher Pittsburgh for Rosh Hashanah services on Monday 10 September 2018 (1 Tishrei 5779).

WHAT

Kesher Pittsburgh is a Priestess-led, independent, post-denominational, everyone-friendly community - all are welcome and wanted!

Our Rosh Hashanah gathering is an opportunity to come together in celebration, and reflection - through prayer, song, meditation and chanting - as we welcome the Jewish New Year 5779.

There will also be craft activities available for the littlest ones among us so that they can be engaged in something fun and creative (while hopefully taking in what they are immersed in).

WHO

We are transgenerational and everyone-friendly! This means that all people who wish to attend are welcome, and wanted, regardless of age, race, lineage, faith path (or lack thereof), political persuasion, gender-identification, sexuality, belief in G-D, or stance on Israel/Palestine.

Please spread the word and help our community to grow…

WHY

Because we believe that there's no better way to start a new Jewish annual cycle than by creating a space for each of us to reclaim Rosh Hashanah in a way that's warm, connective and meaningful. Plus, we love apples and honey!

WHERE

The Hilda Willis Room at Winchester Thurston School - 555 Morewood Avenue (the building on the left if you're facing the two buildings from the corner of Morewood and Bayard)

WHEN

10:00am Shacharit (morning) / Torah service / Shofar blowing

11:45am Kiddush
