Sacred Pause

In-person and virtual experiences centered around rest

Welcome to Sacred Pause

Rooted in Jewish time, Sacred Pause creates space for intentional punctuation in the rhythm of our lives, inviting reconnection through rest and reflection. Whether in a one-day workshop or a multi-day retreat, we work with spaciousness, present-moment awareness, and creative practice as tools for returning to ourselves and deepening our connection: to spirit, community, and the cycles that hold us.

Rest to Return:
The Podcast

So many of us are taught that we must rest so that we can refuel and get back to work. What if, instead, we learned that to rest is an act of humanity? Or an act of divinity?

Rest to Return explores the balance between ancient Shabbat practices and what is needed for us to feel well and whole in this time, making the case for the transformative power of rest, rooted in Jewish wisdom while expansive enough to meet the modern moment.

By bridging traditional Sabbath wisdom with awareness of what each of us needs to thrive, we invite listeners to cultivate personal rest practices through contemporary application of Jewish thought interwoven with reflection, song, and embodied practice.

This podcast offers Jewish spiritual guidance - from without and within - for navigating a turbulent world from a centered, rested place.

Rest to Return

A Days of Awe Deceleration Retreat

Monday, September 14 - Thursday, September 17, 2026

Trinity Retreat Center, West Cornwall, CT

Can we return to somewhere we’ve never been before?

In a culture that pushes us to go fast, Rest to Return is an opportunity to slow down in order to root deeply as we prepare to move into 5787.

Join Kohenet Keshira haLev Fife and friends for a deceleration retreat where we’ll engage in facilitated rest, reflection and connection through song, prayer, ritual, reflective writing, art-making, wandering, wondering, dreaming, and more.

How can slowing down help us to arrive better?

Nestled in autumnal New England beauty, a small group of Jewish leaders will come together for 3 nights, with enough facilitation to journey meaningfully, and enough space to steep in slowness and allow for emergence, and guided reflection intended to support leaders in returning - to personal and professional mission alignment, to Sacred connection, and ultimately to self.

This gift-to-self is one of many ways in which we can embody the rhythms of Jewish time; if you’d like to make this year less about the fast, and more about the slow, please register your interest here.

The Expression of Interest form will help our team to extend invitations to a cohort that’s diverse and well-balanced. By late June we will send out our first round of invitations and then let others know that they have been waitlisted. We intend to confirm the entire cohort by early August so that everyone can make their travel plans and begin preparing to slow down!

Who the retreat is for?

This retreat is intended for Jewish leaders (spiritual leaders, community leaders, and organisational leaders) who yearn to delve into the Days of Awe by slowing down, entering into deep reflection, practicing embodied teshuvah, and engaging in the deliberate work of the season as part of the process of setting a meaningful kavannah for 5787.

More details.
